Polished Douvilleiceras Ammonite Fossil - 2"
This is a polished Douvilleiceras ammonite from the Upper Cretaceous (112 million years old) of Madagascar. It has a beautiful deep reddish brown color and shows the distinctive bumpy shell of this ammonite genus. These polished Douvilleiceras ammonites are often referred to as "Jade Claw" ammonites for some reason I'm not aware of. This particular specimen is 2 inches in diameter.
