Plesiosaur, Mosasaur & Two Types Of Shark - Morocco

This is a very cool association of 4 different teeth in close proximity from the Late Cretaceous phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. The largest tooth is a 1.7" long Plesiosaur (Zarafasaura oceanis) tooth, next to it is a 1.1" long Mosasaur tooth, and then there are two different types shark teeth including a crow shark (Squalicorax) There are also several other bone fragments present in this small chuck of rock.

Plesiosaurs where long-necked marine reptiles with four flippers that appeared in the Triassic and died out along with the dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous period. They reached quite larges sizes, some species as long at 17 meters, and caught slow moving prey. Plesiosaurs breathed air, and bore live young; there are indications that they were warm-blooded.
