Outstanding Hollardops Trilobite - 2 1/4 Inches

This is an exquisitely prepared example of the Middle Devonian trilobite Hollardops mesocristata, often incorrectly referred to as a Metacanthina. It's just slightly arched and the genal spines have been prepared free standing. You don't get a much more aesthetically pleasing trilobite than this.

The only restoration work on this trilobite is some minor touchup of surface scratches from the initial preparation work and a tiny bit of shell on the left genal spine. I did this restoration work myself.
