Museum Piece - Isotelus and Flexicalymene Multiple
Here is a truly amazing natural association of a Isotelus brachycephalus and two Flexicalymene trilobites from Indiana. It was collected this past summer for a lease near Oldenburg, Indiana and lab prepared by one of the best trilobite preppers in the world.
All three trilobites are beautifully preserved, very 3 dimensional and have a nice thick carmel colored shell. The Isotelus is 3.65 inches in length and both the the flexis are about 1 1/4 inches in length. An association piece with two different species like this is rare, but one this nice is really unique. A true museum piece.
There are several repaired cracks through the piece but the restoration done to the Isotelus is pretty minimal. It's a killer trilobite.
