Multi-Toned, 2.3" Morocops Trilobite
This is a very nice Morocops (Barrandeops) trilobite quarried near Foum Zguid, Morocco. It has great detail including the it's distinctively bumpy shell and eye facets. The shell has a natural multi-toned appearance transitioning from black near the tail to tan on the head. This is due to the proximity to a seam in the rock or surface which caused minerals to be leached from the shell.
