Large Sequoia Petrified Wood Bookends - Oregon

This is a beautiful pair of large bookends made from petrified wood found near Ashwood, Oregon. Each bookend weights 4 1/2 pound and is approximately 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The wood is Eocene aged (50 million years) and identified as a species of Sequoia.

Both surfaces have been highly polished and the inner wood detail is amazing. You can see the wood grain very easily.
