Large, Amazingly Detailed Hollardops Trilobite - 2.87"

At a very large Hollardops with amazing preservation and preparation. The shell detail on this specimen is amazing showing all of the little bumps and eye facets, just check out some of the closeup photos. It has been prepared so that it rests on a free-standing pedastal of matrix, "flying" above the rock. At 2.87" long this is very large for a Hollardops and it is laid out perfectly prone. Many hours of preparation work went into this fantastic specimen. There is only a tiny bit of restoration work, maybe 1-2%, one area being on the edge of the left genal spine.

You really won't find a more aesthetically pleasing specimen of this trilobite.
