Jet Black Phacops Trilobite From Morocco

This is a nicely prepared example of the Middle Devonian trilobite Phacops speculator from the Hamar Laghdad Formation in Morocco. The tail is curled under but would be just about 2 inches in outstretched. This is much nicer than your typical "moroccan style" prep work and there is amazing surface detail present including many tubercles all over the surface and all of the eye facets. There are just a few tiny spots of restoration along a repaired crack that runs through it's head.

Really a fine example of this classic Devonian trilobite from Morocco.
