2.35" Spiny Boedaspis Trilobite - Museum Quality Specimen

This is an elegant example of a very rare Boedapsis, one of the most spectacular trilobite species in the world. It is a "dream trilobite" from many trilobite and fossil collectors. Not only are they very rare, but they take nearly a month of preparation time (150+ hours) by a master trilobite preparator to complete. It's 2.35" long, laid out prone and has with all of it's spines totally free of the surrounding limestone.

This prone specimen is simply breathtaking with its pustulose, butterscotch colored exoskeleton, and long flowing spines. A true museum piece!

The restoration is very minimal for a trilobite like this. The very tips of number of the longer spines and pleural spines have been restored, we're talking like 5% of the total spine length. There is some restoration on the first two axial rings, and the back-left hand edge of the tail. Total restoration is certainly less than 5%, probably around 3%.
