1.6" Insanely Spiny Koneprusia Trilobite

Here is one of most amazingly spiny Devonian trilobites in the world a Koneprusia dahmani. This specimen spines which have been prepared free-standing and sits atop a shaped pedestal of natural matrix. It takes an expert trilobite preparator dozens of hours to do work of this quality. It's 1.6 inches in length, which is about average for the species.

There is some shell restoration along the right hand side of the axis and tail where the trilobite was broken during collection. Nearly all of the spines are real though several have been broken and repaired during collection and preparation. It's about 5% restoration in total.
