Inflated 1.39" Calymene Niagarensis Trilobite - New York

This is a large and well inflated Calymene niagarensis trilobite from the Rochester Shale near Middleport, NY. Also present on the shale matrix is a partial tail of a large Trimerous. At 1.39" this is a fairly large specimen and it's in better condition than most.

It was collected from Caleb's Quarry. This quarry is going to reclaimed after either the next couple digging seasons so these trilobites are going to get much harder to come by.
