Huge, 2.6" Pyrite Replaced Brachiopod (Paraspirifer) - Ohio
This is a large brachiopod fossil of the species Paraspirifer bownockeri that has been replaced by glittering pyrite. It comes from the Devonian aged Silica Shale near Sylvania, Ohio.
