Huge 2.2" Cernuolimbus "Snowplow" Trilobite - Rare
This is a scarce, and rarely offered trilobite from the McKay Group of BC, Cernuolimbus pegakanthodes. Due to the raised border on the front if it's head it has earned the nickname, "snowplow" This is the one of if not the largest complete specimen of trilobite found so far. This is only the second specimen of this species I've had for sale.
These trilobites are only known from one exposure and collecting is extremely limited as it lies on a mineral claim. This is one of a small number of trilobites I've been able to obtain over the past few years from collectors at the site.
There has been a very small amount of restoration work (1%) to touchup shell on the right free cheek that was damaged during preparation.
