Hubbard Basin Petrified Wood Bookends - 7.6" Tall
This is a gorgeously colored pair of bookends made from petrified wood found in the Hubbard Basin of Nevada. Each bookend weights approximately 4 1/4 pounds and is 7.6 inches tall and 5.6 inches deep and 1 3/4 inches wide. The wood is Miocene aged (~20 million years) and identified as a species of Spruce.
The surface has been highly polished and the inner wood detail is amazing. You can see the wood grain very easily. The work is done by one of the best petrified wood polishers around so the quality is second to none.
