Gorgeous Auriculatus Tooth - South Carolina
This is a stunning tooth of the extinct mega-toothed shark Carcharocles auriculatus. It is believed Carcharocles auriculatus was closely related to the Megalodon but lived nearly 10-20 million years earlier.
Auriculatus teeth, particularly ones in as nice of condition as this specimen are rare finds. It's 2.43" long with beautiful glossy enamel, intact cusps and sharp serrations.
