Fossil Sycamore Leaf - Green River Formation
This is a nice Eocene aged fossil leaf from Platanus wyomingensis a sycamore tree. The leaf is about 3.7 inches tall including the stem. The matrix has been broken and repaired.
It comes the Green River Formation and the area of Bonanza, Utah. This is the same formation that is famous for producing well preserved fish fossils, but a different member and location.
