Fossil Porpoise Tooth - Lee Creek Mine
This is a Miocene aged cetacean (porpoise) tooth from the Lee Creek Mine in Aurora, NC. These teeth are rarely seen as they were typically overlooked by collectors in search of large Megalodon teeth at the mine. The mine has been closed to collectors for several years now so they are not being collected anymore.
It comes in a small acrylic display case.
