Fossil Leaf Plate - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a plate of two well-preserved fossil leaves. The larger is of the species Macginitiea nobilis (7.9" wide) showing insect predation damage, accompanied by a partial Allophylus flexifolia leaf. They are sourced from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah.

While this formation is best known for well-preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic-metal stand.
