Fossil Leaf and Seed Pods From Montana - Paleocene
This rock slab contains fossil seed pods (Sparganium antiquum) of the Bur Reed Family and a fossil Sycamore leaf (Platanus raynoldsi), collected from the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. It's Paleocene in age or about 60 million years old.
The fossils have minor restoration, for pieces of the fossil will break free onto the negative during extraction. This specimen comes with an acrylic display stand.
