Enrolled Phacops Trilobite From Foum Zguid

This is a cute, enrolled Phacops trilobite from Foum zguid, Morocco. Trilobites enrolled for defense and are frequently found preserved in this state.

This trilobite is .8" wide and wold be about 1 1/2" long if outstretched. The rock around it has been sculted so that it is presented on a free-standing pillar of matrix. There is a little bit of weathering on the left side but the eye facet detail is really nice.
