Enrolled And Detailed Isotelus - Verulam Formation
Here is a very finely detail, Isotelus preserved in a defensive posture. Many types of trilobites enrolled for protection and are often found that way. This example is just over an inch wide, well preserved and nicely inflated. Both of the eyes are in good shape which is rare since they often break off into the negative side of the rock. Check out the detailed pits on it's cephalon (head). These pits are typically interpreted as holding sensory hairs.
