This is a pair of fossil Eurypterids (Eurypterus remipes) from Lang's Quarry in new York. Both specimens on the plate are over 4 inches long and very well preserved with paddles and walking legs visible.

About Eurypterids
Eurypterids, commonly known as sea scorpions, are an extinct group of arthropods related to arachnids that include the largest known arthropods to have ever lived. Prevalent during the Silurian and Devonian, eurypterids were segmented aquatic arthropods with compound eyes and two club-like "arms."
