Detailed 6.1" Mioplosus Fossil Fish - 18 Inch Layer

This is a nice example one of the uncommon fossil fish from the Green River Formation, Mioplosus labracoides. It's 6.1" in length and centered on a rectangularly cut piece of shale. This specimen came from the famous 18 inch layer of Warfield's Quarry that produces much darker and more detailed fish preservation than the split fish layers. This piece would look great framed or displayed on the included display stand.
