2.8" Cut and Polished Lower Jurassic Ammonite - England

This is a cut and polished ammonite from the Lower Jurassic (180 million years old), collected from Somerset, England. The front side has been polished to show off the beautiful internal structure. Some of the cambers have been either filled or partially filled by some kind of quartz crystals which add a little sparkle. The reverse has been left natural which give the ability to see who these shells would have looked like when the animal was alive.
