Crawling Lochovella (Reedops) Trilobite
Here is a large Lochovella (Reedops) deckeri from Black Cat Mountain, Oklahoma which looks like it was preserved crawling over the rock. It was masterfully collected and prepared by Bob Carroll and shows stunning surface detail including the beautifully preserved eye facets. The carmel colored shell of this very 3D trilobite contrasts well against the creme colored matrix of the Haragan Formation. Killer bug!
