Big 1.4" Leonaspis Trilobite With Free-Standing Spines

This is a very large specimen of Leonaspis from Atchana, Morocco. It has been prepared, so that it flies above the rock on a pedestal with some of the spines free stand. It is a really impressive piece. The dark colored shell preservation contrasts well against the light colored rock and the preparation is very good. The tiny nodes on it's thoracic segments are visible, a detail that often gets abraded away during preparation.
