Beautiful Polished Ammonite Cluster - 9 1/2" Wide
This is a stunning cluster of Middle Cretaceous ammonites from Madagascar. The entire cluster is 9 1/2" wide with the largest ammonite being 6" across. There are two species of ammonites present, most of them being Cleoniceras cleon, and one Desmoceras. There are also several clams and multiple types of gastropods rounding out this great, natural association.
The rock has been carefully sculpted to reveal as much detail as possible and the base is flat so that the piece stands up and displays very aesthetically. It looks great from every angle and would be an amazing display in a home, office or museum.
