Beautiful 4.4" Nautilus (Cenoceras) Fossil - France

This is a very colorful fossil Nautilus (Cenoceras) from France. It's been polished and has a very beautiful coloration. It's 4.4" wide and has been prepared so that it is totally free of the surrounding matrix. These nautilus fossils are fairly rare and are Lower Jurassic in age, Toarcian Stage or approximately 174-183 million years old.
