Articulated Woolly Mammoth Neck Vertebras - Alaska
Here are three, articulated neck vertebras from a Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius). They were discovered at a Placer Gold Mine in Alaska and would be Pleistocene in age. Including the stand the piece is 9" tall and 8" wide. Woolly mammoth fossils are frequent finds in the gravel deposits which are mined for gold in Alaska.
