Heavy 9" Polished Goniatite Fossil

This is a nearly 400 million year old Goniatite fossil from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco that has been polished to create a very interesting decorative display. It is about 9 inches wide, very solid and heavy. It comes with a display stand.

A Goniatite is a type of ammonite that first appeared during the Middle Devonian about 390 million years ago. They are mines in huge numbers in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and are often sculpted into decorative pieces.
