9.6" Sub-Adult Hadrosaur (Edmontosaurus) Radius - Wyoming
This is a 9.6" long radius bone from a sub-adult hadrosaur (Edmontosaurus annectens), collected from our partner's lease on the Lance (Creek) Formation in Niobrara County, Wyoming.
This distal end of this bone is crushed and incomplete. Crack repair and gap fill restoration can be found throughout the diaphysis, with some bone missing starting at the diaphysis and continuing through to the proximal epiphysis.

Hadrosaurs
are frequently referred to as duck-billed dinosaurs and are members of the Ornithischian family Hadrosauridae. They were fairly common herbivores that roamed Asia, Europe, and North America during the Upper Cretaceous Period. Many species of Hadrosaurs had distinctive crests on their heads, some of which had air-filled chambers that may have produced a distinct sound. These crests may have been used for both audio and visual display purposes.
