9.5" Petrified Wood Cast - Jackson County, Oregon

This is a very interesting 9.5" wide, polished slab of petrified wood, or more precisely the cast as it doesn't retain the original wood structure. It's Late Eocene in age from the Payne Bluffs Formation and was collected in the Dry Creek Drainage in Jackson County, Oregon. It varies in thickness up to 1 1/2" thick.

This piece of part of a large collection of petrified wood I recently purchased with some very unique pieces from unusual location.
