9.4" Fossil Whale Cervical/Thoracic Vertebra - Yorktown Formation
This is a fossil whale vertebra (posterior cervical/anterior thoracic) from the Yorktown Formation in North Carolina. It was collected at the PCS Mine which has been off limits now to collectors for some time. It would be approximately 2.5 to 5 million years old.
