9.2" Rare, Undescribed Asaphid Trilobite - Draa Valley, Morocco
This is an interesting large Lower Ordovician asaphid trilobite from Morocco we acquired a couple years ago and had re-prepared. It's the only specimen of this type we've encountered from the area. It appears to be of the genus Nobiliasaphus; possibly an intermediate species between Nobiliasaphus repulsus and Nobiliasaphus ingens.
At 9.2" in length and 7.5" wide, it is a beast, and nicely centered on a large section of black limestone. No restoration at all on this gorgeous specimen.
