Here is something unusual for the petrified wood collector. It's a section of rare Schilderia from the Chinle Formation in Arizona. Schilderia admanica represents less than 3% of the petrified wood found in this formation. This section is 8.6" wide and one face is contour polished to show the amazing inner detail of the wood structure.
