8.5" Fossil Salamander (Chelotriton) - Gracanica, Bosnia
This is an amazing 8.5" fossil salamander (Chelotriton paradoxus) from Bosnia-Herzegovina. It is a very well preserved specimen with excellent bone preservation. The rock that it was prepped from has been cut flat along its edges and measures 9.9 x 4.2". The rock in which the salamander was found is rather thin so it has been adhered to a piece of wood for stability.
Chelotriton is an extinct salamander that closely resembles two living salamanders Tylototriton and Echinotriton.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
