8.4" Polished, Neoproterozoic Stromatolite (Conophyton) - Morocco
This is a 8.4" wide, polished section of a Late Neoproterozoic-Ediacaran Period stromatolite (Conophyton amantourartensis) from the Upper Tachgagalt Formation in the Souss-Massa-Draa region of Morocco. It has been cut flat on one side and polished to a matte finish. The opposite side has been left in its rough natural state.

About Stromatolites
