.7" Fossil Bird Track - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a .7" fossil bird track from the Green River Formation, Utah. This track is likely sandpiper, plover or other small wading shore bird and were left on the southwestern shore of Eocene, Lake Uinta nearly 50 million years ago. The tracks are now preserved in a platy limestone horizon known as the "Soldier Summit Fossil Track Horizon".
