.7" Enrolled Thaleops Trilobite From Wisconsin
This is a rarely seen trilobite from the Platteville Formation of Wisconsin. It's a small, enrolled Thaleops ovata which is about .7" wide. It is nicely inflated and a beautiful little big. There is some restoration work to the genal spines and it has been remounted on the rock, hence the bargain price.
The Platteville Formation is rarely collected and complete trilobites are very tough to find. Our digging partner who has a leased quarry on this formation has only found a handful of nice trilobites in the past two years for the locality.
