7.9" Fossil Sauropod Dinosaur Caudal Vertebra - Imilchil, Morocco

This is a large, 7.9" tall fossil sauropod vertebra from the Middle Jurassic deposits near Imilchil, Morocco. Based on size and lack of transverse processes, this caudal vertebra would have been located towards the posterior end of the tail.

Comes with an acrylic-metal display stand. Upon request we can have a custom metal display stand built for the vertebra at an additional cost.

There are a few repaired cracks through the centrum and vertebral arch. Each required some gap fill restoration, with the majority of restoration found throughout the centrum. Both prezygapophyses are natural, along with the base of the spinous process.
