7.6" Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) - Morocco
This is a large, 7.6" wide, fossil brittle star (Ophiura) from the Tiouririne Formation of Morocco. It is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. The slight orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.
