7.5" Fossil Salamander (Chelotriton) - Gračanica, Bosnia

This is a 7.5" long, disarticulated fossil salamander (Chelotriton paradoxus) from Bosnia-Herzegovina. The rock that it was prepped from has been cut flat along its edges and measures 9.3 x 5.6". The rock the salamander preserved in is rather thin so a backing has been applied for stability.

Chelotriton is an extinct salamander that closely resembles two living salamanders Tylototriton and Echinotriton.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.

The right rear leg has been restored.
