This is a cluster of insect fossils (beetles, bees, etc) fossils from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. The entire piece of shale measures 7.2 x 3.9"

While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
