6" Very Rare Fossil Mooneye Fish (Eohiodon) - Wyoming

This is a very rare Eohiodon falcatus (Mooneye) from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It comes from Warfield's Quarry near Kemmerer and they only find a few of these fish each digging season out of the tens of thousands of fish excavated.

This specimen is about 6" long and nicely centered on a rectangularly cut 9.2 x 5.5" slab of shale.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
