.6" Damselfly (Zygoptera) Fossil - Green River Formation, Utah
This is a fossil damselfly (suborder Zygoptera) from the Green River Formation in Utah. It's remarkably well detailed and has a length of .6" (1" if fully intact). While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse plant flora and insect fauna.
