6.3" Tyrannosaurus Rex Caudal Vertebra - Montana

This is rare find from the Hell Creek Formation in Carter County, Montana. It's a 6.3" long, caudal (tail) vertebra from the King of Dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus rex. Given the shape this vertebra would have come from further back, near the end of the tail. There are several repaired cracks in the centrum of the vertebra with small gap fills in the cracks. There are repairs to both process tips and the back half of one has been restored, as well as some restoration to the top of the process.
