6.3" Polished Ammonite (Choffaticeras) Fossil on Stone Base - Morocco
This is a beautiful, polished ammonite likely of the genus Choffaticeras from the Upper Cretaceous deposits north of Goulmima, Morocco. It was prepped and polished while still remaining partially in the rock from which it was preserved in. The rock was cut flat to be used as a base that allows for aesthetic presentation.
The ammonite itself is 6.3" wide and 5.4" tall.
