6.2" Fossil Marine Gastropod (Haustator) Cluster - Gironde, France
This is a large cluster of various Early Miocene-aged fossil invertebrates, most notably spiral-shaped Haustator sp. gastropods and an unidentified helical shell with pronounced grooves along its length. They were collected from near Gironde, France. These elegant fossils are still partially embedded in the limestone in which they were found.
