6.2" Crocodilian (Dyrosaurus) Jaw Section
This is a 6.2" long jaw section of the crocodilian Dyrosaurus from the phosphate beds in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. There are still three teeth present in the jaw and while there is repair work there is no restoration or compositing. There are about half a dozen described species of Dyrosaurus present in these beds, but we can't assign a specific species based on the jaw section. Comes with a display stand.
These fossils are recovered as a bi-product of the massive phosphate mining operations in the region, effectively saving them from death by rock crusher.
