6.2" Araucaria (Rare Type) Petrified Wood Slab - Long "H" Ranch

This is a nicely detailed slab of petrified wood from the Long "H" Ranch, in Arizona. It comes from the Black Forest Beds of the Chinle Formation. It is a rare type of Araucaria which has very fine tracheids.

This slab comes from a large collection of petrified wood which I recently purchased containing some unique pieces from unusual locations. One side is nicely polished. Comes with a display stand.
